Thursday Thirteen

Tomorrow is my daughter's last day of school. Now it's time to plan what we will be doing all summer. Here are 13 things that I have planned for us....

1. Swimming Pool : We have 2 neighbors that both have swimming pools. Hopefully we will be invited over this summer.

2. Park : My kids love going to the park. There is a park close to my MIL's that is wonderful for the kids. It has different areas for the different age groups. Best of all it has a walking track around the perimeter so I can walk while keeping an eye on the kids.

3. Gymnastics Camp : My daughter starts on the competition gymnastics team next week and she will attend a 4 day camp. She can't wait!

4. Hilton Head : My husband has a PA convention in Hilton Head in July so me and the kids are going to go with him and hang out at the beach and at the pool.

5. Birmingham : I'm hoping that we will get to go and visit with grammy a couple of times this summer.

6. Watermelon : I love watermelon. This is something that I love during the summer. I cut it up in small pieces, take all of the seeds out and keep it in a container in the refrigerator.

7. Sprinklers : The kids love running through the sprinkers on those hot summer days.

8. Craft Projects : I've got a couple of projects planned for the summer. One of them is letting the kids cut out pictures and words out of magazines and gluing them onto canvas so they can hang them on their bedroom walls. My daughter wants to put Miley, The Jonas Brothers, Lucas Till, High School Musical, etc.... all over hers. This should be a fun project.

9. Visiting Daddy : We plan on visiting their daddy in Augusta several times this summer. We figured we can go over there while he is in class and be home when he gets out. We love it over there so that should be fun.

10. Play Groups : I'm hoping the mom's in my playgroup get together alot this summer and do fun things with the kids. One year one of the mom's did a sprinkler fest in their backyard. There were blowup pools and slip and slides everywhere.

11. Library - My daughter loves to read and her little brother loves to look at books. Our local library has a summer reading program for the kids and alot of fun activities during the summer.

12. Grilling Out : We love to grill out. I've bought lots of those little cookbooks that you get at the checkout counters at your grocery store. There are lots of great recipes in them and they are easy too!

13. Homemade Ice Cream : We all love homemade ice cream. We live across the street from a strawberry patch and next to a peach orchard so we use fresh fruits when we make our ice cream
